The linguistics for this headline are out of order but the lines fit so well together that I couldn’t resist combining them. The historic blizzard forecast for the eastern seaboard didn’t come to pass. People lined up for supplies to help them weather the storm and the storm turned out to be ‘average’. The weather service that issued the blizzard warning operates out of Mt. Holly, New Jersey and if you think about ‘solar’ as being a synonym for ‘big’ and ‘spray’ having to do with ‘water’ and ‘alongside Jersey’ as referring to the area surrounding Jersey…. The article also indicates a ‘mild paralysis as opposed to a major paralysis and ‘weather ear encounter’ could refer to the weatherman’s forecast as in, he had everyone’s ear.
