I dreamed I was out of town, working as a senior consultant on a multi-year project for a Fortune 500 company. The hotel was adjacent to, or perhaps part of, the corporate office. I had overslept and was still in my pajamas with sleep tousled hair, and was in the hotel lobby/corporate office. A meeting was about to start, and I anxiously scouted around for the showers. No one seemed surprised by my appearance, but I certainly wanted to cleanup before the meeting.

I found the company showers, but as I wandered thru looking for an open shower, I saw that each shower cubicle was now in use as an office with someone sitting at a desk in each one. I walked quickly through the property, trying to find my hotel room. I ran out of time and the meeting was about to start. I proceeded to the office, and opened the door to the office floor. Instead of the offices I had expected, an entirely different office configuration existed. As co-workers talked to me, I asked where the meeting was, as I was not familiar with the office layout, and felt I was now in an alternate reality. Again, no one was surprised at my appearance, in fact they acted as though it was entirely normal, or perhaps just irrelevant. Someone pointed out faded colored tape on the floor, and said to follow the yellow tape. There were also blue tape strips to follow elsewhere.

When I work up the sense of an alternate reality was so vivid that I had to take a look outside to see if the neighborhood had remained the same! Thankfully, it appeared the same. lol.

The authorities were tracking down the children. Using some type of light, or perhaps a laser, the white light would seek out a child and when the light fell upon a child the light would turn blue. Our son was fleeing through the woods and we were anxiously watching, although it felt more like we were watching with our minds thru esp rather than through physical observation. We could 'see' the light turn blue and we mentally shouted to him that he'd been spotted, and he continued to evade the authorities. In reality our son is 30, in this dream he was under 12. All children were being tracked, not sure if the intent was to eliminate them all or re-train to authorities liking,

The dream focus then turned to us in our home. The authorities were coming towards us and we knew they would next search our house. Knives were not legal, and as I glanced around the kitchen I spotted a small meat boning knife (specifically Chicago Cutlery) on the counter, and I grabbed it and tucked it under the throw rug that was on the floor just up to the edge of the cabinets. As our home was searched, the leader talked with us; he knew us before he was in this position, so he said he would be lenient as he leered at us. He spotted the bulge in the rug, and withdrew the knife with glee. We could be executed for having the knife but he implied he'd get us off on a lesser charge.

My sense was this was a simpler lifestyle, devoid of personal electronics such as phones and televisions. We were living in a small simple wood-frame house near a woods. I did not sense any neighbors nearby.

The first scene I am the mother of a little girl. My little girl is pregnant and the boy who got her pregnant will not stand up and be a father, she is young like 12/13 years old. I am angry with the boys parents, they will not allow me or my daughter to speak to him, they tell me try to write him a letter and mail it to see if they get it. I leave that neighborhood in what feels like a car by the speed and distance. As if I am now the little girl looking out the back window watching her boyfriends house fade away in the distance.


Next scene, I am now in a small town, there is a plainly dressed older girl there, almost a woman at 17 flat chested, straight hair, very plain with sunken eyes. They are my family but I am not sure how. My mother has sent me here to live with them, even though she doesn't like them.

More than a year has passed and it is now my daughters first birthday party and the older girl shows up. She reminds me of the girl from Hairspray, chunky, pink dress, and very flamboyant for such a small town girl. Almost reminds me of a drag queen. I am drunk following her through the town, I see a cake shop and they have several cakes lined up for a judging competition, I walk by and stick my finger in each one, I taste each one. I can tell I am very Very Drink. I am being yelled at but I do not care.

I am now laying on a couch hungover, my ex is there and he has come to take my child away since I am such a drunk. My cousin's little sister took the baby, the day before at her first birthday party while I was gallivanting around town, and she gave my baby to a couple of grown men in boats just because they wanted her, she thought my baby would have a better life with these two scruffy homeless looking men than with me, or with her family. Even a better life than her own father could provide.

I was so drunk, so angry I was yelling at him that he left me and his baby years ago, he didn't get to come back now and play daddy, I ordered him to get out. Pinky (which was the older cousin in drag) was mean, and she would be back soon. I started thrown things and breaking windows. I am actually relieved to be rid of the responsibilities of being a child parent. I do not want my own child back. What's worse is I do not care to find out her fate.

I hear a voice upon waking that says to me... "The confessions of a tortured soul"

NOTE: I was seeing all of this as if through the eyes of another person, this was not my life. Like a movie though I was allowed to watch it all. Good and bad.

A man of, I felt, Korean nationality wanted to show me a date/entry in a paper calendar open to February but found it to be taped shut with clear packing tape. While trying to open the calendar further his hands got stuck in the tape between the pages as though handcuffed.

I'm with a group of people on a smallish cabin cruiser. It's packed to the gills with supplies. There is water everywhere, and I'm not sure where we're going, we're just on the move until we feel we've found a good space we can call home. We pass a smaller boat filled with just men. They're dirty and mean looking and wearing tattered clothes. They shout something at us, but we keep moving. I'm thinking by keeping clean we look like we have things they want. We're not suffering yet.

We find a house in a neighborhood, where the house is up on a hill and has a small dock. We get out and get everyone inside. We have three small children with us, and I'm trying to keep track of them. I think we take turns because I'm not sure any of us are related.

I keep looking out a window to the boat, and tell one of the men that we need to start unloading the boat NOW. He doesn't want to do it, and starts arguing with me, then I remind him about the men from earlier. I'm pretty sure they have turned around and are looking for us.

Vision upon awakening:
Distant cityscape. Bridge across expanse of water. Can't see the far end of the bridge; it's off the picture. Large rock wall where the bridge meets land. I am standing on the shore at the bottom of the wall. A large red heavy machine like a front end loader comes flying across the sky toward the bridge. It isn't self powered. It's more like it had been blown into the sky. From the looks of the trajectory, it appears it will miss the bridge.
