In this dream, I was standing on the balcony with my daughter in the morning. In real life, we can see for miles from this balcony in every direction except North because of the Grand Mesa. We were just chatting while looking south when all of a sudden (this is really hard to describe) HUGE squares started coming down from the sky in various/multiple places. Almost as if someone was playing with a shape sorter toy on the other side. Then the sky turned into a swirling mass and whirlpool as if it was going down a drain. My daughter was panicing and I told her not to worry...this is EXACTLY, what is supposed to happen and that we have been planning this for a very long time.

This was the first VIVID dream I had involving a recently deceased loved one (Richard). I want to say that we were outdoors, bright sunny day, at a big event. A fun event, like the Texas State Fair or something. Suddenly, I see Richard walking towards me, gives me a big hug and says, "Don't worry. It will all be over soon". The next thing I know is that all the people around us were absolutely panic stricken and all were looking to the sky. However, I never saw what was coming from the sky, but whatever "it" was was extremely frightening. People were running everywhere. My focus was then drawn to a man holding the hand of a little girl. This man just checked out mentally and left the little girl standing there alone so I grabbed her hand. I then woke up feeling/hearing this VERY strange vibration that I have never experienced before.

This dream is two parts. First part had me standing among other people in a very bright library. I got the feeling that these people were teachers or part of a council of sorts. At any rate, I was told to look at this beautiful globe. I would say this globe had a six foot diameter and shimmered as if it was made of mother of pearl and other semi-precious gems/stone. And it moved as if it were alive. Almost like I was watching Earth from above. My focus then centered to Oregon, near Portland, and I watched an enormous sink hole suddenly appear, swallowing the entire area. The area was hundreds of miles in diameter.
The second part had me back on Earth suddenly in Ecuador where I was witnessing another enormous sink hole in real time. This one was much larger than the one in Oregon. The funny thing is that the hole stopped right at the edge of my toes so I was saved from falling into it.

I'm standing at the edge of a field with an old man. Across from us are his son and granson. The old man and I turn to the west and walk a short way. The old man stops and hands me a hat, "For my grandson, when he is old enough to understand", he walks away. He's going to fight in a civil war, and not expected to return.
Now I'm on the land-side of a dock, with the old man's grandson, who is now around 18. I hand him the hat, which has a slit in the brim. He takes the hat, folds the edges of the slits back and pins them to the body of the hat, forming a narrow "V". All the boys were wearing their hats this way now; it was how the patriots had worn them. I walk alongside the warehouse to the part of the dock open to the sea thinking how can I go on, when I have lost so much ?

I dreamed this last night (1/12/11).
I dreamed that it was a warm spring day and it had just finished raining. I went outside to look for rainbows, as I normally do. But, as I was looking up at the sky, there was a iridescent halo around the sun. Not to terribly unusual, but it seemed as to be "projected" on to other objects and areas of the sky. There was more than just the halo, there were sundogs and other types of sun arcs all around the sky. Anything that had a reflection of sunlight had the rainbow-halo. Even the glint of sun off the car had a funny halo around it. I went back in the house to get my phone (to take a picture). When I came outside to take a picture, the sun was still shining brightly, but the sky was dark as night and the stars were out. The area around me looked to be like at dusk, even though the sun was fairly high in the sky. It just wasn't emitting enough light to illuminate everything. One star (about the current brightness of Jupiter) was the brightest thing in the sky, save the sun and moon, it also had a iridescent halo and it looked so odd an bright against the black sky. I tried to take a picture, but my phone wasn't working. It seemed to have crashed. I tried restarting it, but it wouldn't respond. Other people were out of their houses now looking up at the sky taking pictures with regular cameras. The only camera I could think of that I had was an old 110mm camera that I had as a little kid (that camera was long gone YEARS ago). I opened it and seeing it was out of film, wondered if they even make that type of film anymore.
At this point, there are other weird things happening with the sky (swirling clouds, shooting stars, and the appearance of an abnormally large moon with a bunch of jagged point (much like how a child draws the sun with "rays"). I came to the conclusion that it was all some kind of special effects hologram and that it was created by the nearby theme park (there is no theme park nearby where I live though) and they sent out a special signal to disable camera phones so that we couldn't take pictures and share them. They were just testing out some new technology for some kinda new ride experience.
That is just the conclusion I used to justify all of the weird things happening. Even in my dream I needed a "rational explanation" I wasn't totally convinced because the "feeling" from the first sun halo and the subsequent darkness felt like 2 different phenomena. There was something that just didn't make sense about it only being a "normal test".
I don't know, maybe my "inner dream eye" has cataracts or something.

I was standing outside of a two-stoy house I must have owned. It was late evening and other family members were on the grounds. Someone showed me there were flames shooting out of the roof. We called for emergency assistance and I entered the house but found no smoke. I even went to the upper story and there was no smoke or flames. Suddenly all of those who had been outside came in and were playing, talking, etc.,as if nothing were wrong. I kept screeming to get out of the place it was on fire, didn't they see the flames? Grab what was dear to them and GET OUT! I could not understand why they didn't see the urgency of getting out! Next scene, I am outside of the house, I think most of the people were there and the house had collapsed with nothing but the charred/smoking remains of the house. Everything inside was lost. I still couldn't understand WHY others did not see the urgency I had. On thinking about it the next day I wondered if this represented an economic collapse.

Our world is visited by beings who look like us but have incredible powers. The range of powers is great, from being able to do moderate amounts of damage to being able to wipe out or fix anything- essentially gods.

Fortunately, the most powerful seem to be benevolent and appear to us as wise middle-aged men. (There were no women in the dream.)

At the end of the dream, I and two others are out in the snow (I live in Los Angeles, so no snow here, yet). Some defensive device starts shooting at various things, so we go around a building. There something starts shooting at us, so we start running. I see the others being shot, but they are not hurt at all. Instead, they open their arms and run towards the shooting. I do the same, and the dream ends before I am also shot harmlessly.

Three nights ago I had a dream there was in Earthquake. I live in Florida so I don't think it was here. I was in a high rise building on the 34th floor. I was upset w/myself bc my bug out bag wasn't ready. I was trying to pack food b/c I knew there was going to be a famine. I realized that I was dreaming and I needed to tell everyone to be prepared.

Tonight in my dreams I was traveling through farm country. The birds weren't able to keep up with the bugs and swarms of different bugs were devouring the food. The farmers were trying to keep the pesticides going but the bugs had developed some sort of mutation that made them immune to the pesticides. Then there were vicious storms that destroyed the rest. People were in a panic food prices were going through the roof. Then I was walking down a road with people lining on both sides looking gaunt and hungry lips cracked from the heat and lack of clean drinking water.

unfortunately i don't remember much about the dream (1/11/11) other than there was flooding in the sf bay area - possibly a tsunami. i wanted to post here as my stepson (he's an adult) has also had a dream(s) about flooding/tsunamis in the last week or so (1/1 - 1/11/11)...
