i saw 2 men who opened a new bar with 3 pool billiard tables. 2 Tables were paralel to the Bar and one straight. The bar was outside under the sky and like a buvette, as we call it in Basel. It was to be free to play billiard so there are clients to drink beer. I drank a beer then. 
The bar was close to the Klingental in Basel. The klingental used to be a Women Monastery, then was used as a Military Fort, and today it is a school.

My neighbour is working for the klingental museum, and I saw him with beer once. My school friend works close by and we had an after work beer once. maybe we have soon one again, his girlfriend also runs a buvette in another place in basel. She also runs the place named uncle and I am soon to become uncle again. 
Then a friend is supposed to come and live with me until the 8th of July. The 8 ball is the last to sink in pool.

I had a dream last night that there will be a near 10 mg quake to strike somewhere in the world soon.

Very strange dream last night. I was in a Southwestern US city, looked like a dozen I've been to on the border, so can't place it other than to say it is in the Desert Southwest somewhere near the border.

There are all these young people, 18-30. By comparison, I am twice their age. I feel old, and they stare at me in a curious way. I watch them walk up and down the street on a bright, sunny, peaceful day. There is no one else as old as me on the street, in any building or anywhere else to be seen.

I then notice that they are using 'old mechanisms' and 'old technologies' to get around (conveyances). Old ragged bicycles, cars with hoods missing, rickshaw tricycles with chainsaw motors and more. It is truly a hodge-podge of homemade ingenuity combined with whatever they can get their hands on. There are a few cars (small ones) around, as a early-'80's Chevette drives by (smoking, and very loud with no muffler). Gasoline is very hard to find, and many of the remaining cars to be found have been converted to diesel. Most simply walk, but for those moving cargo, foods, and other things, they are 'using up' the last of our old transportation system. The roads are, for-the-most-part, overgrown and unusable outside of the city. Only the city streets are still used.

It is like I can 'hear' the young ones' thoughts. If you find an abandoned vehicle on the side of the street, you can claim it if you can make it move. The world has clearly left (or leaving) the petroleum age, the 'old ones' are almost all gone, and while few in number are left than were here previously, a completely different mindset has come. They think very alien to what we do now, they don't understand us and don't care to, nor do we understand what drives them or what they are thinking. Someone asks me a question, being as I am 'one of the old ones'; they hold up an item and ask me 'what was this made to do?', and I tell them. They reply with 'what were you thinking that you needed to do that?'  I am suddenly surrounded by young who want to know many answers to what we were thinking when we did this or that.  I hesitate, and remember thinking, 'if I tell them, will they only follow in our footprints again?'  They seem to have lost most-all history, and have an 'innocent start'. I walk away, thinking it is best to keep it to myself. They now think me stranger, still.

I take it, that it is a glimpse of another age to come, after some great cataclysm occurs, which for whatever reason, kills most of the older generations as a result.

I had both of these dreams early this morning; at first I thought they weren't connected, now not so sure.

Dream 1:
I am setting up what appear to be some kind of perimeter sensor devices around a hotel resort property. It's not in a downtown area, I say resort because the building itself was no more than 4-5 stories, sprawling, and had a lot of greenery surrounding it, might have been a golf course. Anyway, I'm setting up these little black boxes in their gift shop, restaurant, movie theater and outdoors. At one point I'm standing outside looking up at a decorative bell tower wondering how the heck I'm going to get up there to place the sensor. As I turn I see a number of coffins stacked up at a bus stop, and I'm wondering how long they're going to just sit there before the truck comes to pick them up. All the while, the manager is keeping after me to blend in and not get any guest's attention or disturb their stay.

Dream 2:
I am with my boyfriend and his family. I keep trying to tell this story (in the dream it's very important, but now I don't remember what it is) and no one is listening to me. Everyone is just chatting and eating and going about their get-together like everything is normal, when I know it's not. It seems to be around Christmas, because I see some decorations. He keeps trying to mess with my hair, like I'll be more believable if I'm all tidy. I finally get him to stop, and I go wandering off in search of any of my family. I find my favorite aunt, and start to launch into the story only to get cut off every time I start speaking. I finally just gave up, and thought, you're all on your own. I tried to speak up.

This is the reason I need med's to help me stop dreaming. This is a every night occurrence and my brain needs some rest. I have to work a day job that needs my full attention. Maybe I just need a supplement to increase my brain capacity. I won't go into the long details of each dream.

Dream 1. An actor from a TV show I watch is in love with me. Feels like I am on the show. I am lucid dreaming in this one.

Dream 2. I am moving to FL. and am talking with a woman about a job. She tells me there is an opening where she works and I would do well there. I find out it's a job at the Post Office.

Dream 3. A woman I worked with 2 years ago at a temp job is sick with a respiratory lung issue.

Dream 4. I am sitting with a group of people and a man asks me where is my favorite place that I have visited and would like to go back there. I tell them AZ. & NM. Then I see a Mesa with a village on top of it. Then I am in the village and hear someone complaining about all the tourist. Another person smiles and says, it's ok, they want to learn and that's good.

And to start my day off, as I am sitting here writing this, Crow comes by for a little visit, caw caw caw! Last time I heard from Crow a week or so ago one of my cousins passed on.

Afterthoughts: Dream 1, I do watch the show every week and there is little to no romance on the show. So will be interesting to see if they write in a romantic relationship for this character. Dream 2, I have never wanted to move to FL. Dream 3, this has to be a prayer request as I have not thought of this woman in 2 years. Dream 4, the man who asked me the question, I have seen him in other dreams where the buildings look like Indian adobe style of NM or AZ. I like his smiling Spirit.

I, too, dreamed of driving a classic car-Skeetersaurus' car was way cooler than mine, however. -so I thought I'd post my nighttime dreaming activity as well. It was an odd collection of dreams with the only commonality being the classic cars.

No intention set

A series of dreams:

1) I'm driving around in a white '53 Buick. There's a woman I don't know riding shotgun. She's dressed in a pantsuit, all business-like. Me, I'm dressed in jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers. I park in a parking lot filled with vehicles. We get out, walk a bit and exit onto a beach. Nice day but the beach isn't crowded. There are fully-dressed people on the sand and in the water but this doesn't seem odd to me. We walk along the beach until we reach a group of people in business dress. They've cordoned off an area and have set up tables, chairs, a buffet, and a projection screen. A man approaches us, hands us some flyers, and welcomes us to the "FBI recruitment luncheon." The woman with me immediately heads towards the buffet line. I don't move. The man asks me if I'm interested in joining the FBI. I laugh, point to my hair, and tell him I seriously doubt the FBI is recruiting middle-aged women to the agency. He laughs with me and tell me to at least get some lunch. No thanks, I tell him, I've eaten. He tells me that fewer people have attended than expected and they have a lot of leftovers. He hands me a cake and tells me to take it home with me. I take the cake, carry it back to the Buick-after a bit about having to remember where I've parked-pop the hood, and stick the cake into a storage well next to the engine. Then I get in the Buick and leave the beach.

2) Pull into my neighborhood. All the driveways contain classic cars of varying vintages, makes and models. I wonder when driving classic cars became so popular. Me, I'd rather be driving my Mustang.

3) Parked in the driveway. The spouse comes out of the house. I pop the hood on the Buick and tell him there's a cake in there but I can't reach it. We both look at the cake. It's in really bad shape now. He scoops the cake out of the storage well and tosses it in the trash can. Then he fiddles with the oil filter. I ask what he's doing. He says it looks like the Buick needs a new oil pump. He shows me the filter. It's coated with dirty crusted oil. I agree with him and ask where would we get an oil filter for a '53 Buick. He says Autozone. I comment that it would be nice if our car guys were around, they could change it in a heartbeat.

4) Our son pulls into our driveway. He's driving a blue and white '57 Chevy station wagon. I'm surprised because this is someone who loves his tech stuff and the Chevy is definitely not high tech. His dad asks him how much he paid for the car. The kid says $800, a real deal because other than some upholstery work and a new paint job, the car is in great condition. I ask him if his wife is good with this. Oh yeah, he tells me, she doesn't mind at all. Then he tells us he has a chance to go back into the Army Infantry but he needs more money to buy his way in. This does not strike us as odd and we discuss how much we can help him.

5) My DIL is screaming at my grandson for some reason when I enter the house. GS sees me and runs to me. I pick him up and he clutches at me. I feel his little heart racing as I ask what's going on. My son tells me not to interfere. I tell him I'm not interfering but DIL never yells at the baby. Never. And I want to know what happened to cause her to yell at him now. There is no answer.

6) Two men in fancy suits and a woman in a fancy suit show up at our house. It's a small house and we're rather crammed in there, with spouse and me as well as son, DIL, and GS all living in the space. The trio wants to talk to us about buying another house. We sit down at the table and they present their spiel about moving to a bigger, nicer house. I tell them no, we just sold our house and aren't ready to buy again so soon. They dismiss my comment, talking to spouse and the others. They show brochures of houses in the city, whichever city they were talking about, and how we could get a good deal on the houses. Spouse looks at me. I shake my head. Tell them no, I don't want to live in the city. Can't live in the city. Too many people and I need to be able to see the stars at night. They scoff at me. I just repeat what I said, adding I know it sounds odd but I can't deal with all the people crowding in on me. They look at each other and some sort of message passes between them. I know they're going to argue, going to try and convince the others that we need to move, and I'm not going to put up with that crap. And I woke.


Notes:

First thing that popped into my head after I woke was what was up with the classic car bit? I may dream of cars occasionally but they're always cars I recognize, like my Mustang or my parents' land yacht. And there's no way in hell my son would give up his SUV with all the bells and whistles for an old car. Not only that, he's a below the knee amp on his left leg so he couldn't even work a clutch. Not sure what was going on there.

Also not sure of the significance of the people in suits or the bit with my DIL screaming at the baby. Seriously, she would never do that, unless he was in danger of some sort. She is beyond patient with him, even after she has to pull him out of the dog's water dish for the umptieth time in the day.

This was interesting. My first thought was what did the crabs know that we don't?
