I'm 59 years old and I've had this same dream and when I say same, I mean exactly the same dream since my earliest memories. I may have interpreted the dream differently when I was a child because of my limited experiencewith the outside world, but is always the same dream. The dream always starts with myself and a woman that I love deeply standing together at night on a sandy ocean beach. We're both very afraid. When I was younger I always assumedthe womanwas my mother and it confused me because I didn't recognizethe woman'sface as my mother's face.The womanalways has the same facial features, those of a beautiful young Asian woman. I'm notAsian by the way, which made things even more confusing. I didn't realize who that woman was until I met, fell in love with and married that beautiful young Asian woman of my dreams. While we're standing on the beach, we're both looking toward the night sky, holding each other tightly. There are multitudes of bright streaks of light high up in the blackness of the night moving rapidly from the West to the East to wards the inland of America. As a child, I couldn't comprehend what the lights in the sky were. All I knew is that they were bad, very bad. I still don't know what those streaks of light are. I've thought many times that maybe they're the warheads of an ICBM reentering the Earth's atmosphere. Maybe they're small meteorites acting as a precursor to a larger and more deadly meteorite. I just don't know and I'm not sure I want to know. I've have the dream throughout my life and what's even more curious is that when I do have one, it usually foretells either a bad period in my personal life or more frighteningly something bad occurring nationally or globally. I remember having the dream many, many times in the early 60's just before the Cuban missile crisis. They continued on a fairly regular basis up until the assassination of JFK. It seems for the better part of my adult life now, that they have subsided to havingthe dreammaybe every other year or so. That is until recently. For the last year, the frequency of the dream has been increasing to a point where I'm havingthe dreamat least once a week. I'm pretty sure this portends something very bad happening very soon. I live in Oregon. My wife and I are heading to the Oregon coast this mid-November. We always enjoy walking the beach together at night and looking up at thestarry night sky. This time will be different. I'm afraid of what I'll see in that dark night sky.

I recently had a dream where I was in a public place of some kind, like a hall or auditorium, when I realized that people were talking excitedly/loudly. I went outside and looked in the sky and saw some kind of rocket or missile like things streaking through the sky. Then all of a sudden violent explosions were happening around me - they seemed incredibly real in this dream. I took cover under a vehicle of some kind and there was a young boy next to me. I remember seeing an explosion envelope the boy but he did not seemed harmed. The next thing I know I am running away from this place and realized that there were some kind of humanoid beings blasting everyone with a beam or ray of some kind that looked like bluish light with sparkles in it. The people around me would vanish when hit by this. I then thought that I could stop them from doing this by holding my hand up and thinking "stop, stop". this created a weird bubble around the aliens that put them in a kind of stasis - end of dream . . . . . very strange!

I usually dream every night in some form or fashion. Most of the details get lost and I'm left with an impression about what was dreamt. Last night's was different in the sense I remember most of the details. The last dream like this that I can remember was about my grandparents' house being on fire with me in it (probably 15 years ago). The house at the time was already sold and moved to a different location, but it burned half way down before the new owner could put it out!
Last night's dream was about severe weather. I was with my wife and friends in a house that "was ours" with our things, but it was different than my current house. We were in an area that felt like where I live now, but subtly different. It was at the top of a hill in a residential area overlooking semi-open fields dotted with houses down to a busy neighborhood street. The begining felt like most normal days when storm clouds began to form from the south? The storms were of normal nature until a tornado developed and moved torwards us and the house. Duck and cover ensued and while we were fine, the house had some damage to the windows, roof, and most other things normally associated with tornadoes. We looked outside and to our surprise, even more tornadoes had formed. I'm not sure how many, but the feeling was 10+. They battered the house again and again. While this was scary, only minimal damaged occured during these twisters. The worst of it was the driving rain that had penetrated the house. Once they were gone, the skies cleared and a monster tsunami was washing over the neighborhood below. The crest of it pushed towards us but it only flooded the house up to our knees. he devastation left in the neighborhood below us was catastrophic. The road was completely washed away. There were bodies laying in the mud. Houses were falling into the canyon made by the receding water. There was no question:Life as we knew it had changed in the blink of an eye...

Came to a deserted gas station, area around it was clear. Went inside the store, there is a woman with a several lacerations on her right arm, leg, & side; she is not moving. She is white, brown hair, skinny, 5"6," wearing khaki shorts & a short-sleeve shirt. Next to her is a baby girl, maybe 10 months old, brown hair, blue eyes, wearing a diaper & a pink t-shirt with "Daddy"s Angel" on it. The baby isquietly playing with keys. I reached down to check her pulse; it is thready at best. I send my son to get the medical kit. I begin to gently tap her face & she slowly comes to. She is very incoherent, but after several minutes I am able to piece together what she is saying. She was hungry, went looking for food, pack of dogs attack, protect Risa, made it inside store, dogs left, need help, save Risa, husband come home, it hurts.
As she rambled on, I did a physical exam. One laceration on her arm was fairly deep & showing the beginning signs of infection. The gash on her leg is down to the bone and showing signs of putrefaction; it is also slightly swollen with some tissue already turning black. I take a closer look at the leg wound & see pus oozing; it also has a foul smell. My son comesin with the kit; I take out the thermometer & take her temperature; she has a very high fever. I tell my son to take the baby & wait outside. I search my kit, I have no antibiotics -- they would not help anyway; gangrene has already set in. All I can do is ease her pain & give her comfort. I find a vial of morphine & a needle and give her a lethal dose. I move to put her head in my lap. Her speech is still very fragmented; I gently stroke her head & softly murmur soothing words.
She grabs my hand, looks me directly in the eyes, & very clearly makes me promise to take care of "Marissa" (so it"s not Risa) until her husband comes for her. I promise, she smiles,& thanks me, & her whole body goes slack. I check her breathing & pulse -- nothing. I close her eyes & tears slowly slide down my face. I take a deep breath, lower her head to the ground, & begin to search her pockets for an id. To my disbelief, she has a driver"s license. Her address on the license is only a mile away. I walk out of the store; shake my head in the negative, in answer to my son"s unspoken question.We get in the truck, drive to the house listed on the license. The door is closed, but unlocked. I go in, it's neat. I see a picture of woman, man, & the baby on the end table - I grab it. Walk down the hall, locating the baby"s room, thereis only two diapers & a handful of wipes. I grab both & stuff them and a few clothes into a nearby diaper bag. Walk out, go to the kitchen, on the frig, there is picture of the man, in uniform -- he is in a desert environment. I shake my head & think to myself that if he is in the desert, he has one hell of a journey ahead of him. I grab the picture, turn it over, the date reads 7/15/11 (a small chortle escapes from my lips & I shake my head).I look through the drawers & find paper and pen. I scribble a note to the man, informing him of his wife"s passing & that we have his daughter. I also give him coordinates where I will check every day at noon for him. I put the note up on the frig along with a small picture of me & my son, and open the front door.
As soon as I open the door, there is thick white mist; when I close the door, the mist clears & I am fast-forwarded to 6 years into the future. I am speaking with Marissa &I am explaining to her that she can't come with me because it isn't safe. I leave her with my son. There are other people there; they are with me, can"t really see them as they remain in the background. I get to the location, survey the area & see a man standing in theclearing. It"s Marissa"s dad. I walk into the clearing, calling his name. He turns towards me; he is very guarded & apprehensive -- looks at his hand, up at me, back at his hand, then back at me again & smiles (Marissa has his smile). He looks just like his picture, except now he has a beard. I tell him my name and that Marissa is just wonderful; he smile gets even bigger. We start walking, a million questions about Marissa tumbling from his lips. I smile at him answering his questions. We arrive at camp, my son steps out of the house with Marissa -- they are holding hands. My son looks at me, I nod in the affirmative; he whispers something to Marissa, she smiles, runs towards her dad, & jumps into his arm.
As I look upon the reunited pair -- I think to myself, how am I going to explain about his wife…then I wake up.

So here is an amuzing dream from my college days. (no i was not on drugs, nor am I a greatful dead listener.) this is just a fun one I thought i would share.
Dream starts,
I am in a room talking with God, who has chosen to show himself as an old Jerry Garcia. We are having a conversation when he challenges me to a contest. I look at him and ask, what kind of contest? "Who can move the Earth" he replies with a smile. I look at him and smile back, "Sure, you go first." God nods, then steps back into space and pulls the earth out of orbit, moves it about and puts it back. He looks as if there was no way I could beat that. I nod knowing that his effort was really good. I then fall to the ground and do a push-up. God laughs and says he won. I counter saying No.
He then looks at me and asks why I thought I had won. My response was this. "You moved the earth out of its orbit but it never changed to me. I moved the earth in perspective to me, therefore I moved the earth more according to my viewpoint." God stood back for a moment and thought, then remarked, "you know what? your right."

I woke up laughing and saying what the #$#@ was that! And still remember it 18+ years later.

I had this dream about a month ago. It was so final and real and it still haunts me.
I live on the West Coast. I am standing at the open window enjoying the greenery and cats and deer playing in my front yard. I can hear the bees droning outside in the flowers. The sun is shining and the feel is warm and peaceful.
Suddenly a brilliant, all-consuming flash of light, brighter than the sun, rolls through in two waves. I feel the heat and recoil from the window. The leaves turn brown and charred, and start falling. I slam the window shut and start running to find my husband, perhaps in another part of the house.
I somehow know that most of the population are instantly dead, and can see millions of house after house with cooked dead inside. I wonder why am I still alive? I somehow think of HAARP, and remember my metal roof. Anyone with a metal roof is safe. Then I ask , 'would they turn it on their own population'? In my dream, I think I know the answer.

I was floating in the stratosphere of the Earth, somewhere above the American midwest. I could see the dust tail of a meteor as it was coming thru the mesophere. As it came thru the stratosphere I could see that the meteor was fairly large. My "body" was then being pulled extremely fast toward where the impact would occur. I could see the tops of the trees, a small church spire attached to a white building, as i was coming up to the sign with the town name, my alarm clock went off, and I was "thrown back" to the present. Right before I became fully awake, I looked over my shoulder and I could see a small mushroom type cloud blossoming up. I wish I could have seen the town's name.

I'm posting this in S0-So News because it's "After Life" but really these dreams are just about future lives, of which I seem to be on a streak. This is quite different from all previous dreaming in my life time. Normally dreams place usin circumstances where you are unaware that time is different, and it only the circumstances which are surrounding you that dream areabout. In these dreams it is clear that it another time and that I am much younger, in my 20's, where I am really in my 50's. In all cases the circumstances are of a world and society which is greatly deminished: Nearly broken.
Dream One. I'm in some kind of hospital under ground. There are halls like tunnels off to the sides of a main corridor and dug out cubby holes with people in them that seem to be functioning as beds. I guess I'm an orderly there, I go on a break and climb some stairs up to the street level. This appears to be the main lobby and enterance. There doesn't appear to be a front to the building. Guards with assualt rifles stand on either side of a small wooden folding gate, like the kind used to pen infants in to rooms, and that is serving as the entrance. A line of dirty disheveled people are waiting to gain entrance. There's an old counter with a woman who's running some kind of cafe for workers and patients, and I go over and sit down in an old plastic chair. Seems like a lawn chair or one of those metal and plastic chairs they used to have arround in schools. There's a non-functioning water fountain mounted to the wall, on of those square metal kind, and that's the supposed table. Another worker joins me and we become oblivious to our surroundings. The woman who I ordered some food from, like cookies or something, suddenly slams a fiberglass food tray down between us and we are startled. Everyone waiting, along with the guards start laughing. Not at us, because it's obvious to everyone that she is boiling over jeal.
Dream Two. I'm some kind of volunteer fireman, but very young, and someone says we need to stop at the store. I guess I'm driving and I get out of truck in front of the gas pumps. These are very old gas pumps, like nothing we have today. I look up at the supposed store and I can see it's a nothing more than old large house. It's got the feel and appearance of a remote gas station. Like something you might actually come across in the 50's. Someone asks if I want to go in and I say; "No, there's nothing in there but junk." I then started complaining about our fire truck, which seems to a 50's Chevrolete pick-up with a ladder and some other minor stuff. Someone says to me, in a forlone kind of way; "Well, it's all we got." I suddenly feel like a jerk for complaining. I then notice our fire house is an open face shed with one or two other old vehicles. There was something also about the gas and how little was available.
At least three other dreams relating to a deminished future and where I am clearly much younger have occured with in the past six months. Hmmmm...can't really say any of the dreams are actually bad, only that they clearly indicate more possible lives I may yet have to live through. Not too sure I really want to have more of this earthly experience, but it does seem I'm coming back like it or not.

i appeared in the middle of something coming or going to happen,what i didnt know but it was very real. i was in a cross between boston and flagstaff arizona, it was all at night and everyone was very serious about it. noone seemed to be upset, just ready.the human race was leaving the planet,it was for our survival"they said" iremember whos they. there were rehearsals for it in the build up and a count down. it wasnt forced people were just ready. you were alowed to bring what ever you could carry and pets which i thought was nice. then the time came and everyone went to there gathering places, ther was lots of excitement, everyone was dressed up like for a night on the town, everyone just looked dapper and sexy and this is where i started feeling wierd/upset because everyone was oblivious. the only other thing i actualy heard myself say was "oh yea your fake boobs are gonna do you alot of good in outer space at the end of the world" so i turned around and started walking away from the crowds, then i started running, realy running,sprinting,i remember thinkin i hadnt run like this since i played soccer, and i didnt get winded. so im running through what seemed like tunnels made from cloth material and when i broke free i thought thered be guards or somebody trying to stop me but there wasnt. so now im away from it all and kind of hiding in the woods but not realy hiding just being where i was and the air was crisp and nice and my sences were very accute, i could see in almost total darkness and very aware of my suroundings. there was noone there, every one was gone, so ijust sarted walking away. but the wierdest thing of all was there was a song playing when i decided to start running away, it was on some sort of loop,i remember that the most,just this song. it was like the drum beat from a band called massive attack and a medium droning guitar riff with lots of distortion/gain that just kept ringing and the words just kept looping,it went "im a creature of habit all i need is this, just this to survive" on+on+on. so im going to try to record it in my home studio. anyway, the dream just kind of ended and i woke up at 5:47 am. and wrote it down. now im sharing it with you. feel kind of wierd too. thats it...................ps ive copywrited those lyrics so no infringement please! hahahah. enjoy

I have 2 kinds of dreams. Regular dreams and true dreams. The difference is qualitative and kinesthetic. They just "feel" different.

On September 16, Thursday morning , about 6:30 am

I dreamed I was in my house working, etc. And I was hearing the news (TV I think, although we don't have a TV in the common room) and getting flashes of the visual image of an anchor man. It looked something like MSNBC. Talking heads.
They looked stricken and he was reporting that the Dow had dropped over 800 points for the days trading.
I think I may have been doing laundry, folding towels...... anyway, I had that anxious feeling in my upper chest, not tight exactly, but like I was not breathing deeply enough. Like when you see someone take a tumble and you don't know if they are hurt or how badly.
The reporters were discussing panic and chaos in the streets. I don't know if they meant that literally or on the trading floor.
When I woke up a couple of hours later, I checked to see if the day had started off badly.
Often the dreams happen the next day, sometimes it's a few days off. Rarely it's years. I dreamed about the twin towers in 1997 and on the morning of the event. The first dream was me hearing about it on the radio. The second was me watching people "falling" and jumping down between 2 steep walls.
And I don't know if the market can drop that much in one day.... I thought they had stops on it to prevent that sort of thing.
