What’s Paradigm 3

Intro: What is Paradigm3?

Paradigm 3 is a new process of interacting with our collective reality. Currently, we seem to be tossed about, to and fro, by the two different forces affecting our daily experience. By not being aware of these forces, they both run havoc in our lives.

Most people might accidently make the mistake of equating the two forces with the age-old dichotomy of Good vs Evil, but fortunately Paradigm 3 easily circumvents that deeply philosophical battle. In fact, Paradigm 3 isn’t a battle at all, but a proper recognition that there are two types of forces that require two distinct responses.

Instead of identifying these two very simple forces, let’s instead look at how people generally react to these forces.

First, there are those people who tend to ‘take in’ whatever the world gives them. They tend to be more passive, perhaps more surrendered toward the world at large. Some people in this group might be labeled ‘lazy,’ but others might be hard-working determinists. Like Freud, they generally believe that life is mostly determined for them. Whatever comes is what is meant to be and therefore I’m good with it. There are exceptions of course. They’ll be looking for someone else to blame when things get really difficult. In essence, they’re pretty much powerless either by low motivation levels or belief patterns (or both).

The second group is generally very opposite of this. Instead of being determined for them, their world is hand-crafted by them. If they want improvements in their life, they are the first ones to admit that they can and will change it. They push their way through life and never take no for an answer. If they get ill, they tend to look at themselves for the fault instead of blaming others. They are very responsible for their life condition.

Interestingly, these two basic identities transcend all religions. You’d think that Atheists (for example) would be in group two and highly religious folks in group one. Such is not the case. Christians, for example, can be found in both camps. In short, we cannot stereotype nationalities, religions, and racial profiles into either category.

The Two Forces

The two forces in the world are controllable forces and uncontrollable forces. In essence, there are times when we are fully responsible for our condition, and there are other times when we are not.

And I can already hear both sides arguing their points. Their worldview cannot support seeing the other side of things. Group 2 is screaming out that “we are all powerful” or “we can move mountains with God’s help.” This view does not acknowledge any uncontrollable forces, and to accept such is sheer blasphemy to most people in this group. Fortunately for Group 2, they will not have to give up their worldview to join or help change the world in Paradigm 3!

Instead of arguing which type of forces are more correct or dominate, can we at least acknowledge that these two group identities generalized their orientation to more easily explain both types of forces? For example, a Group 2 person who gets his house demolished by a tornado might look at his life and equate the misfortune with something he did, or blaming himself for a lack of prayer or focusing on negativity. Basically, he simply cannot see the uncontrollable nature of what happened.

Paradigm 3 REQUIRES both groups!

Group 2 orientation is amazingly effective when dealing with circumstances they CAN control, and that’s why we need Group 2 people in Paradigm 3: Since they believe they can control everything, they will be the powerful impetus in our new model.

But there’s a problem with Group 2: since they can’t acknowledge forces beyond their control, they tend to look past daunting future possibilities. If a scary dream comes along, they will most likely ignore it. That’s why many of Group 2 people forget their dreams to begin with. Negativity isn’t acceptable.

That’s why we need Group 1 folks. These people are more connected to reality. They tend to see things coming, particularly the more negative oriented stuff. Group 1 is our team of prophetic and talented dreamers. They are needed to identify those uncontrollable forces out there. They aren’t afraid of seeing the future, taking the bad with good.

What if we had a world where we combined these two groups? Well actually, we keep them separate but we operate smoothly between them.

How will it work?

Group 1 warns us of what humanity is creating, then Group 2 forms a more positive future depending on what Group 1 is presenting.

Group 2 asks, “Do we even need Group 1 if we can simply create whatever we want?” Emphatically, “Yes, we do need Group 1!”

First off, if humanity is posed for a health-related disaster, but Group 2 is over yonder intending/praying/creating a peaceful environment, then humanity still gets ill. We wasted our creative potential.

Second, what if Group 2 could get some feedback about how they are doing. Let’s say they are intending on peace, so how can they tell if their intentions are working? Are they going to see peace in the headlines? That is unlikely because peace doesn’t sell headlines. A better mechanism is to measure the linguistics and get feedback from the dreamers.

Group 1 is connected to the collective unconscious. So, if Group 2 is intending peace, we should start to see Group 1’s dreams being affected positively. Plus, we should start seeing words accelerating like “Peace” (if that is what they’re working on) moving higher in the linguistics. It’s a feedback loop, and Group 2 can receive tangible feedback on how well they are creating.

Of course, after awhile of being in the collective unconscious, the outer reality will begin to shift toward Group 2’s intentions, that is, if they are doing their job correctly!

    Paradigm 3 reminds me of the “Serenity Prayer” spoken in 12-step programs, which asks the Higher Power to grant one the ability to change the things can be changed, to accept the things that cannot be changed … and the discernment to know the difference. (heavily paraphrased)

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Wikipedia credits The Serenity Prayer’s original author to be Reinhold Niebuhr (1892–1971).
    The best-known form is:
    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    The courage to change the things I can,
    And the wisdom to know the difference.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Personally, I think what is needed to change what can be changed, more than courage, at least in the context of Paradigm 3, is know-how, skill, tools, and the actual ability, which may include power/strength and collaborative effort (some things that one person cannot change, many together can).

      Very profound, TreeSister. Thank you for that addition. I would definitely have to agree with you!
