NDC to Present at the 2015 IASD Conference

IASDThe NDC’s proposal was accepted by the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). That means that I will be handed the microphone and stage on Sunday, June 5th during this year’s annual IASD conference as I present some of our statistics and lessons learned from Project August. This marks a concrete turn in our journey exploring collective dreams, dream precognition, and dream linguistics. If 2014 could be considered the year for gaining dreamers from the around the world, 2015 will be about establishing roots in the world of research, scholarship, and professional affiliation.

The radio shows last year were exciting and drew lots of people to our website, but establishing a strong professional foundation cannot be underestimated. The fork in the road is June 2015, when the NDC hopes to win over key players in the scientific community with our strong commitment to collective dreaming.

For those who have never heard of the IASD, their mission statement is as follows:

International Association for the Study of Dreams is a non-profit, international, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the pure and applied investigation of dreams and dreaming. Our purposes are to promote an awareness and appreciation of dreams in both professional and public arenas; to encourage research into the nature, function, and significance of dreaming; to advance the application of the study of dreams; and to provide a forum for the eclectic and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and information.

If someone is looking for a group of research scholars and PhDs, the IASD is one of them. They have international psychologists, educators, scientists, therapists, and doctors all coming together to explore the world of dreaming. Their research protocols are tight, stuffy, and pure. No one knows this area of the collective unconscious better than this large group of professionals. That is why the NDC is very excited to be given an opportunity to speak at this conference in Virginia Beach.

The complete schedule of this conference is spectacular. From health and healing dreams to clinical therapy to disturbed dreaming to arts and ingenuity to science and religion, this multi-day conference has something for everyone. As far as the NDC’s portion, I will be discussing all about Project August. I’ll talk about the nature of our project, how it was designed and carried out, what people dreamed, the interpretation process, some of the better case studies (i.e., predictions that came true), and finally the important statistics that were extrapolated from our study.

The 2015 IASD Conference is 5 days long, from June 5th to the 9th in Virginia Beach, VA. If you plan on attending, especially if you were a Project August participant, then please do write me and tell me that you will be there. I would love to recognize those who participated in that world-altering project. For any non-Project August dreamers, I’m equally excited to meet all of you, so hope to see several of you there!

Edgar Cayce lived in VA Beach, how appropriate it would be held there.
