Today’s run involved a strange dropoff in surge scores, leaving us with another short list. I double-checked the settings and passwords, and all was in order. This dropoff is unexplainable. The run was, as the bot says today, “truncated wow.”

I’m actually hoping that “Truncated wow” is attached to “managed help wars truncated.” In other words, something helps slow down the wars.

This evening I was thinking about movies I'd seen in the past. I was thinking about how in some moves there are characters that seem to be written specifically for the actor playing the part. Like Sean Connery in Hunt For Red October. Like they are born to play certain roles in movies.

Then a thought came to me, It is time to play the part you were born for. I asked, well what about the others on NDC? I heard: yes, it is time you all play the part you were born for. I think this ties in with the dreams we have been getting this week.

In a mostly jumble of a dream, only one thing stood out.

In my dream I had the ability to "read water"! Which meant that if I looked in a glass of water that you had drained I could know everything about you from those last drops that are left. I would know your future and what you were thinking.

Now would this be a good ability or a bad one? I wonder.

I know that Windy has the ability to speak different languages in her dreams and now I wonder what other skills/talents our dreamers have in theirs.

I had this dream 05/24/2016. I dreamt I was married to Will Ferrell. In the beginning of the dream, he had just sort of popped up out of nowhere and I KNEW we were married but it was like I hadn't seen him in so long that I wasn't sure how I felt about him. He had this big moving truck that he was driving, and when he saw me he gave me a big hug and a half-hearted smile. He clearly wasn't happy in our marriage (Or in anything it seemed... he looked all around miserable) , and honestly, I didn't feel a sort of deep connection to him either. It felt like we were together as a sort of obligation rather than having ever been really in love with one another. Anyway, when he came, he brought these weird fish bowls. He said that everyone was given one to suit their personality. There were a few different kinds. There were spiky and smooth fish bowls, and they came with regular flowing Japanese Fighting Fish, and then these weird, rare spiky fighting fish. Well, MOST people got a regular smooth fish with a smooth bowl, or a rare spiky fish and spiky bowl... but I was sent the combo with a smooth bowl and a shy spiky fish. He had gotten the bowls for my kids as well. Each a smooth bowl with regular fighting fish. I was sort of in awe looking at my bowl and fish. The smooth bowl made it easy to see the fish inside, and even though the fish inside looked somewhat ferocious, it hid in a little ornament or behind the plastic plants most of the time, not letting me get much of a good look at it. This made me a bit sad, and I sat it on a shelf thinking that maybe eventually it would become more trusting and let me see more of it. I had seen enough of it to know it was very beautiful and colorful.

Anyway, Will kept asking me to find things to send to his kids. It seemed like he had three. I was to somehow magically find out what these kids needed or wanted and send them the perfect gift, and I guess I felt a bit resentful of this in my dream because it felt like while I had been married to Will, I hadn't seen him in years and he had done little to nothing for 'my' children. He didn't bring them back anything. He wasn't concerned about their health or well being or wanted to even spend time with him. In fact, it seemed as if he was ready to leave again having JUST arrived. But he was adamant that I PROMISE to give his three children gifts. Well, him being a rich celebrity, I thought for sure he would have something I could send them in the back of this massive moving truck of his. I opened the back of it to find a bunch of weird, dusty stuff. Old jars and books. One book struck me. It came across as a cookbook and was called "Strange and Incredible Things" and on the front of this book was a naked mummy in fetal position. I wasn't sure if I was intrigued or grossed out. I wanted to flip through it, but Will came out of nowhere and startled me and I slammed the book back on the shelf built into the back of his truck. He told me that I could look through that book AFTER I had done what he asked, and I argued that I knew that wasn't so, because as soon as I had done what he asked, he would leave. He nodded and told me I was very smart, but that he was going to leave one way or another and that I was wasting time. Still feeling a bit resentful, I asked why I should do anything for "his" kids when he wasn't concerned with mine. He was rich and rolling in money. Why hadn't he brought them even just the tiniest thing from one of the cool places he's been to. He told me he wasn't as "rich" as I thought him to be. And apologized for having been lost. That was why his truck was full of dusty, seemingly useless stuff. (It made sense in the dream)

After him begging and pleading I begrudgingly promised AGAIN to send his kids gifts. The BEST gifts I could think to send them and so he left. Taking his huge truck. I KNEW I wouldn't get to see what was in that weird book... and also I guess I felt a bit disappointed that he was not funny ONE time in that dream. He was nothing but melancholy and serious.

I had this dream on 05/23/2016. The earliest I can remember in this dream was being in some sort of vehicle with a few other people and I wasn't really thinking much as we were driving along until I felt us go UP and I looked out of the window and saw that we were driving up a mountain at a 90 degree angle. I grabbed onto the seat and held on as if for dear life even though the seat belt had me pretty secure, when we reached the top of the mountain we turned and started driving across air. I looked down and there was nothing below us... just a drop that looked like it could go on for eternity and it was pretty frightening... then suddenly we started falling. As we fell I could see what looked like barely visible circuits all around us. I saw one going up the mountain and looked up to see that it ended just above us and that was what we were driving on before we drove clean off it and started to fall. As we were falling I watched us pass all kinds of circuits and hoped to God we would hit one so we wouldn't all fall to our deaths. We kept just BARELY missing them and I was thinking about just how precise you had to be to drive like this. Just an inch or two off and you are done for. I didn't know who was driving, so I didn't know how much I could trust them to be so precise. I watched a couple more of the circuits pass us as we fell. They were so close I was sure I could have reached through the window and touched them with my hand. Just as I was about to say something to the driver, we stopped and were instantly transported to some other place.

Now we were all standing in front of a huge building. I guess I was in a bit of shock because I just stood there in a daze for a second as the others started to walk towards the building as if nothing weird had just happened. I guess we had hit the right circuit that time and were where we were going? Most of the people I was with I did not know, but I knew one man who was there with them. His name was Michael, and he called out to me and when he did, I sort of snapped out of my daze and the others stopped to wait for me. It felt as if they were all there as body guards for me. And while I thought to myself I SHOULD feel fancy, like a celebrity or something, I had a job of some sort to do, and I was getting a BAD feeling from this building. I felt like it was a government building, but there was something just really weird going on in it.

Anyway, as we walked into the building, my new friends surrounded me and it seemed as if I was invisible. I saw government workers dressed in black monitoring the people coming in and out. At one point they threw down these smoke bomb like things. There were two different kinds. One was blue and one was green. Each would paralyze about half of the people, and while paralyzed, the workers would examine and sometimes even pick and drag off certain people. I got the idea that they were looking for people like me and got a bit worried. I was still with my friends though, so I felt like I would be okay.

I led my friends to the weirdness I felt in the building, and sure enough, the workers tried to paralyze us. They threw down the blue smoke bomb, but I was unaffected, Michael was stunned though. Then they threw down the green bomb and that seemed to work a bit better, but I wasn't paralyzed like everyone else, It had just made it more difficult for me to move. It took all the energy I had, and I was very slow, but I hadn't been stopped. The other friends I was with were not effected by either bomb for some reason. So they managed to keep the workers off of me.

That was when I found the source of the weirdness. There was a man on a platform ranting and raving and he had a crowd of people around listening as he spewed just some of the most insane nonsense I've ever heard. I can't remember what it was he was saying exactly, just that he was nuts and gave me the feeling that he believed himself to be Jesus Christ. He ripped off his shirt and was just getting more and more crazy when the workers gathered around him and started to drag him off, with him STILL kicking and screaming weird things. For a moment I was relieved because I thought the workers had done my job for me, but as they were dragging this guy off, our eyes met. His face contorted and I could feel he had SO much hatred towards me, but I didn't know why. I'd never met him, let alone ever bothered him. And when he saw me he just lost it and broke free of all of the workers and pulled out a machete and came after me. I was still slowed and could not run very fast and for some reason, my friends were not able to stop him as he charged after me. He made a swipe at me with that machete and took off a chunk of my left shoulder. After he got me, the workers ganged up on him and started to drag him off again, with him promising to come back and kill me. When he got me, my clothes just sort of vanished and I was just standing there, sticking out in the crowd, naked. The mans eyes got wide and his jaw dropped as the blood from my shoulder started dripping down to my feet. When I looked at my feet, there was a strange language written/tattooed on them. At first it was just a long sentence across the two feet, but then this one character that looked like a backwards 'E' with a long tail started to get bigger and bigger and the other characters shrunk and moved to the right side of it on my right foot going up my leg. It almost looked like some sort of equation to me. This enraged the man even more for some reason, and as the workers dragged him off, the people of the building started to surround me to check out this weird thing going on with my feet. The workers of the building tried to stop this by throwing down the smoke bombs, but I saw more and more people working through it. They looked like they were all walking through molasses, but they were still working through it. And this was good, I thought. I had hoped that we would all get stronger by doing this until those dumb bombs didn't work anymore.

No intention set

The spouse and I are on an Air Force base(people wearing AF uniforms). We're standing in a line to get food. A blonde woman is trying to keep the line moving and make sure people don't take too much so everyone gets something to eat. She's harried and abrupt, snapping at people, and short-tempered. People are muttering about what a bitch she's being. Spouse and I don't speak beyond a few idle comments about nothing in particular.

Then we're wandering around a field covered with large mounds. The mounds are circular with an opening cut into one side. I peer inside several of the openings and see the same thing in each: Tipi-looking setups made from branches or planks and small fire rings next to each tipi setup. It's obvious from the stacks of personal belongings that people are living in these spaces.

Back to the surly woman. We see her in a corridor. Her hair is an untidy mess but her uniform is crisp and clean. She's propped against a wall, her fatigue obvious. She sees us and says, I know people think I'm being a bitch. No, I say, I don't think that. Spouse agrees. I add, I think you're trying to do an overwhelming job and you're tired. She looks at me, then wipes her eyes with the back of her hand. Thank you, she says, It wasn't bad at first but there are more people now and more arriving every day but we're not getting more food or supplies. If we don't get a shipment soon, we're going to have to start rationing. But that's just putting off the inevitable. We're going to run out of food and when that happens, things are going to get very, very ugly. I don't know what to do. Then she straightens, shoves her hair out of her face. and says, And I just made our job harder by telling you this. I shake my head and say, We're just passing through and I have no intention of telling anyone here what you've said. Besides, if it's as bad as you say, they'll find out soon enough as it is. She eyes us. Says, Who are you? You don't belong here. You're not like the rest of them. I smile and say, We're just travellers passing through, witnessing what's happening all over. Whatever, she says, But it's time for me to be a bitch again. Good luck, we tell her. She turns and goes through a doorway. Spouse and I continue walking down the corridor.

Notes:

The people in the food line looked like they'd been through a rough time. Haggard, dirty, clothes worn. The spouse and I stood out mainly because we were clean, yet no one seemed to notice us.

The mounds in the ground remind me of the bunkers that can be found on some military bases. These were missing the doors and were being used to house people.

There was a sense of cold. Like it was winter time.

The food being handed out was a sort of soup with lots of rice but very little meat and veggies and a piece of bread. The people didn't complain about the food but they certainly didn't like having to follow the rules.

I dreamt I was going to my bank to withdraw what cash I had left, and when I got there, my bank was all of a sudden a different bank entirely, and luckily my husband had an account with that bank. Just getting to the bank was hard, there was insane traffic everywhere and the police were acting really weird, glitchy, like they couldn't decide what they were supposed to be doing and made all sorts of jerky driving motions in their cars. When I arrived at my bank, I found it was no longer there, so i walked around the building and there was still a bank in the building i had never seen before. So i proceeded inside to the bank branch, and it was packed with people. Walking up to the atm, there was a child standing there a little to the side. I realised after a minute he was trying to do an atm transaction and having problems. the atm looked very jammed with what seemed to be blue $5 canadian? bills, like it tried to spit out about 50 of them at once. There were some bills fallen onto the floor. I looked at the jammed bills closer and oddly enough, each one had a handwritten name, date, and sequential number on it. It looked like the name was the boy's name as the account holder of the cash. I thought that was weird the bills were indexed like that. I tried to pull the bunch of stuck bills out for the boy but they wouldn't move. So without thinking I tried inserting my bank card. I should've known better as it did the signature move an inkjet printer does when it eats the paper and jams - my card turned a little sideways and then fed into the machine super slowly and disappeared. I never saw it again! Nor did the stuck money come out. the boy through all of this said nothing. I grabbed an atm tech who was idly standing around and said get my card out of the machine (considering that i'm familiar with the inner workings, this should've been an easy request). He said, I can't - it's in lockdown! I said what do you mean it's in lockdown? for how long? He said he didn't know for how long. Since I couldn't go anywhere without my card or cash to get by, I was then stuck at the bank with all the other people for days and days....The dream ended there and in duration, it was actually quite short.

Last night’s dream seemed to have lasted a long time so I will post only the parts I remember well.

Start of Dream. I am with a group of about 6+ people that I know are survivors.  We are living in a mall of sorts that also has an underground area where there is food and water. We have basic necessities for survival, shelter, food and water.  

We are all outside of the building each working on a project.  I stand up and say, “I wonder what time it is, I’m getting hungry for lunch”. The woman next to me says, “hum, I’m not sure what time it is, but yes, I could eat something right now. I laughed and said, “well I suppose time is irrelevant now, it really doesn’t matter now that we stick to a time schedule”. We both smile and the woman says, “what would you like for lunch?” I say, “depends on what is in the cans we open”. We both laugh again and I say, “oh I suppose soup would be good today”.  I started thinking, we may need a team soon for food preparation and a lunch room if our population grows.

We walk toward a couple of people who are working on a project and tell them we are going in for lunch and ask them to join us. They said, yes, so we all walk toward the building. On the way there I see a man and woman talking. I say, “oh look there is the new arrival talking with ______.  One of the other people says, look’s like they are getting along well. We all smile and walk into the building together.

Then I say, “looks like our little group is growing so I think it’s time for a council meeting”. Everyone agrees and talk about which room to have the meeting in.  I then had the thought that I was the elder of this group and would be expected to lead the council meeting. I started thinking about how to structure the community and what would be best for everyone.  Then I think that I wish there was a man here near my age for someone to lead with.

Next someone is telling me the weather is changing and will get colder tonight. He is in charge of reading the weather signs. I tell him to make sure everyone knows, so we can sleep in an area away from the outside walls. I also tell him that I need socks for tonight before it gets too cold. He said, I will go into one of the stores and get socks for you, would you like to come with me? I tell him, no I don’t like going into the empty stores. He smiles and says, what color socks do you want. I tell him, any color and to just grab the first ones he sees and get out quickly.  He smiled and said, no problem and he went into the JC Penny store to get socks.  He came out a few minutes later with socks and they were men’s heavy wool socks. I said, these are men’s socks. He said, but you told me to get the first ones I saw and these are what I saw. He was so happy with himself that I did not have the heart to say anymore so I told him they would do well and keep my feet very warm tonight. He was a happy camper.  End of Dream

Afterthoughts: I don't know what happened that caused us to live this way. No one talked about what happened. It was over and now we needed to make the best of our time. What I noticed the most was the calmness that everyone had as they go about their day. Everyone had the same goal, to make daily life better for each other. I had the sense that the sadness of what happened was so great that to be able to move on we had to put it away from our daily thoughts.

If finally figured out why yesterday’s run was so lame….I forgot to set up this new computer with the background passwords to the dream forums! Oh well, you can’t go back and redo it a day later, so we’ll just have to live with it. Today’s run seems all about a dream forum. Do we need to add a shrine in this forum? We also apparently need to “send juicy entries [via] email.”
