Earth cops, we have liftoff…

Most readers will have a tough time with this story. In short, our June 10th linguistics actually came true, beyond my wildest expectations. In truth, I almost left this one off the DreamForecast because I thought it had absolutely no chance of being fulfilled. I was way wrong.

Earth cops giant air show” was the key phrase.

Gosh, I can’t even believe I’m typing this out, it’s truly so bizarre…okay, here it goes. Out of Aberdeen, Maryland, you might be seeing something gigantic up in the skies…

Military Blimps Will Float In Aberdeen, Tracking Potential Threats

ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ)—Soon, Maryland will be the home to a couple of new landmarks. Actually, sky-marks.

As Mike Schuh reports, two large blimps will soon rise over Harford County and stay put.

Radar blimps like these have been used on the battlefield to track the enemy, and in the Caribbean to intercept drug runners.

Testing in Utah is complete. Now they’re being packed up and sent to Maryland.

“There is some equipment already on grounds, yes,” said Kelly Luster, a spokesman for Aberdeen Proving Ground.

What will they be looking for? Anti-ship cruise missiles, unmanned aircraft and swarming boats.

These blimps are a lot like a toy balloon. They are unmanned and are held in place by a very long tether.

Hovering over Aberdeen, some days you’ll be able to see them from Baltimore.

“On a clear day, you can see them for up to 50 miles,” Luster said.

With a range from Richmond to Staten Island, privacy experts have concerns.

“That kind of tracking technology raises privacy concerns, and if the military wants to test hardware they should not be testing out on the American public,” said David Rocah, ACLU staff attorney.

Aberdeen’s spokesman says that’s not happening.

Oh, that’s a relief. “No, honey, they’re not going to be watching us because that’s what they told us!”

I’ll bet everyone on the upper East coast will be sleeping better now that the blimps are watching out for their safety. Giggles….

Oops, almost forgot the score….this one’s pretty doggone high. The only difference was that it was military and not public cops. For all intents and purposes, especially for this blimp’s purpose, cops and military can pretty much be interchangeable.

As far as “air show,” that’s exactly part of the planned success. If the “enemy” sees this big huge blimp up in the air, and they know it’s tracking them, then they will be less likely to do nefarious stuff. So let’s go with a 4.5 or 4.6 on the DreamSeer scale. This was one huge….literally!
